Strolling around Saint-Malo is a great idea! Saint-Malo is a coastal town in Brittany, 1 hour’s drive from the Hôtel du Parc. It’s famous for its ramparts, magnificent beaches and picturesque historic center. Here are a few suggestions to help you make the most of your trip to Saint-Malo :

Saint-Malo ramparts: Start with a tour of the city’s ramparts. These fortifications offer breathtaking views of the sea and surrounding area. You can stroll along the ramparts and admire the seascapes as far as the eye can see.

The old town (Intra-Muros): Head to Saint-Malo’s old town, also known as “Intra-Muros”. Stroll the cobbled streets and discover charming old houses, boutiques, cafés and restaurants. Don’t miss Saint-Vincent Cathedral and Saint-Malo Castle, located inside the city walls.

Beaches: Saint-Malo is surrounded by beautiful beaches. Plage du Sillon is the most famous, with its fine sand and long stretch of beach. Enjoy a stroll along the beach, a refreshing swim or simply relax and admire the sea view.

Le Grand Bé and Le Petit Bé: When the tide is out, you can walk to these two small rocky islands near Saint-Malo. Le Grand Bé is home to the tomb of French writer Chateaubriand. Be sure to check the tide tables before you go.

Saint-Malo aquarium: If you’re interested in marine life, don’t miss the Saint-Malo aquarium. Here you can discover a wide variety of marine species, including sharks, sea turtles and exotic fish.
